Weddingbells (Toronto) - - IGNITE SOMETHING - Harper’s Bazaar

FROM ERIN: Chris and I have been together for almost six years. We met at a mutual friend’s dinner party, where he showed up with one of my oldest friends. When I saw those bright blue eyes, I had to find out who he was. We spent the entire night talking and ignoring everyone else at the party. It was love at first sight, and we haven’t left each other’s side since. We kept our wedding theme rustic with wildflowers and Mason jars to complement the venue’s decor. Finding the location was easy, as it was one of the first places Chris and I visited when we started dating. My dress was one of my favourite details of the entire day. Leith, one of my childhood friends and the style director at large of UK, was an absolute godsend. There was a look I fell in love with from the Honor 2014 runway. Leith, who styles their shows, sat down with me and helped me pick a look. I wouldn’t have been able to get such an amazing outfit (it’s actually a top and a skirt) without her help. After our ceremony outdoors, we ushered guests into the main dining room for dinner and dancing. My mom and BFF, Tara, created a hilarious slide show of Chris and me and all our looks over the years—me as a buzzedhair goth and Chris as a long-haired hippie. We danced into the night, and had surprise midnight cheeseburgers and fries from McDonald’s dropped off in a cab. It was a massive hit.
