MARYANN NARGI & ROBERT BAST

JULY 4, 2015

Weddingbells (Toronto) - - IGNITE SOMETHING -

FROM MARYANN: The proposal was a total surprise and was complete with a party to celebrate with family and friends, and a trip to Paris. Rob had planned the engagement for weeks with my sister. He booked a suite at the Ritz- Carlton and lined the hallway with rose petals and pictures of us. I was so surprised to see him in a black suit and tie that Rob had to remind me to keep walking toward him. Our wedding theme was a fusion of The Great Gatsby and The Oscars with a flare of vintage inspiration, since we both loved the Gatsby remake and the style of the times. Plus, we’ve always shared a fondness for movies, and I have a hidden passion for fashion, especially watching the red carpet at The Oscars. The ceremony at St. Joseph’s church was everything we had both dreamed of. It was grand and beautiful, full of many laughs and a few tears of joy. Afterward, we had a private shoot with our photographer with just a few members of the wedding party. This was a great opportunity for us to appreciate our new bond while sharing laughs with a more intimate group. The evening took off when DJ Fombi (a.k.a. Rob) lit up the dance floor for a solid 20 minutes. I was by his side, the dance floor was full, and it was just an incredible moment to share with all our friends and family.
