Weddingbells (Toronto) - - IGNITE SOMETHING -

FROM TANG: Rylan and I had been dating for 10 years before we got married. He asked me out on MSN back in the day. He proposed in the backyard of the house his grandparents had lived in, where we were living. The wedding was really modern, laid-back and casual. I think the theme and stationery worked well around the blue lake, red canoe and red dress. The bridesmaids wore blush and champagne to avoid clashing with my red dress, and the men wore navy blue and white with black bow ties. From the very start, our wedding had a chill vibe because neither of us were stuck on a specific vision. I just knew I wanted to be married outside in the sunshine. The view from the dining room at the Drake Devonshire was perfect: It was a sunny summer day, and there was an amazing view of Lake Ontario to set the mood. I put off buying a wedding dress for a while, past the eight-month ordering time, so I took a chance and ordered a custom dress online. The red dress was a real hit and a surprise for everyone, because I didn’t tell anyone I would be wearing red. Instead of having a traditional dance floor and speeches, we decided to go with the flow and have a very relaxed reception where everyone could just chat, eat and enjoy the moment.
