Weddingbells (Toronto) - - REAL WEDDINGS -

FROM CAMILLE: Andrew proposed in Vancouver where I grew up. We were walking around my old neighbourhood of Yaletown when it started pouring rain— hard! I turned around, and the next thing I knew, Andrew was on one knee proposing. We wanted our wedding to be full of two things: lavender and chill, happy vibes. Lavender smells so lovely, but it also served as a tribute to my mother, who loved the flower. Our venue, The Burroughes, was the perfect place to hold the relaxed, contemporary celebration we were envisioning— especially its cool rooftop patio. We had a variety of multicultural food and drinks at our wedding. The Thai food was delicious, and the South African, French and Canadian wines and Chinese beers were a huge hit with the guests. We also had the best coffee from Boxcar Social served at the end of the night; everyone loved it. The whole night was full of so many special moments. We were fortunate to celebrate Andrew’s grandmother’s ninetieth and my grandmother’s eightieth birthdays, and our parents’ speeches were incredibly touching. The best part was being surrounded by our closest friends and family members, many of whom had travelled so far to be there. It was unforgettable.
