Weddingbells (Toronto) - - Real Weddings -

FROM MARY: We planned the wedding from 5,400 kilometres away! Our wedding was in Toronto and we live in Whitehorse. The Yukon is amazing in its pure, undeveloped beauty. We wanted to bring some of that love for the outdoors to Toronto, which is what inspired the theme of “ethereal woodland” and a colour scheme of green, peach and burgundy. I did a lot of DIY for the day. I created the invitations, all the paper goods and the guest map. My father is super handy so he made the arch under which we were married. He transported it from his house an hour away from the ceremony—that was such a special moment for me, as it was a labour of love for him. Shopping for my wedding dress with my mom, sister and one of my bridesmaids was amazing. We met in Vancouver and spent two days hunting for the one. I was so thrilled to find it, a design I had envisioned wearing. During the reception we lost power for an hour and did our big entrance to no music and candlelight. Our wedding was on the same day as the final performance of The Tragically Hip tour. There was a live broadcast on giant screens near the reception and it blew a breaker. We rolled with it!

I CreAteD the INvItAtIONS, ALL the pAper GOODS AND the GueSt MAp.
