FROM ADENA: JJ and I first met in class at university. I walked in on the first day of my third year and noticed him immediately. We went on a coffee date a few weeks later and he sealed the deal by buying me a fresh-from-the-oven chocolate chip muffin on the way out. I would describe our wedding as a modern fairy tale, with a quirk! From the old-world charm of the venue to the bright flowers and whimsical details, the celebration felt so unbelievably authentic. Everything had meaning, from the colour scheme of blush and gold with a pop of berry to the sequined tablecloths that added a dose of frivolity (which I’m all about!). During the first dance, the whole world stopped. It felt like it was just me and JJ, slow-dancing in our living room. I was so entranced by our wedding song (“Unchained Melody” by the Righteous Brothers), his embrace and the overwhelming joy I felt. Our stationery suite still has me swooning. I plan to incorporate it into a gallery wall. From the elegant font—which JJ and I spent hours mulling over— to the delicate, watercolour paint swoosh, it’s the embodiment of both our personalities: him, a classicist at heart, and me, the quirky creative!

I WOULD DESCRIBE OUR WEDDING AS A MODERN FAIRY TALE, WITH A QUIRK!
