FROM TIFFANY: Steve and I met online. The funny thing was, once we started talking, we found out my childhood best friend went to the same elementary school as him. Also, we both attended University of Waterloo, and at one point we lived three doors down from each other at off-campus residences and never met. I attribute this all to a matter of timing and fate! We knew we had to include our “family” of lobster plushies into the wedding. On our first vacation together we stumbled upon a shop window filled with lobster plushies. Steve knew he had to get me one after I fell in love with them—every year since then, he’s added a lobster plushie to the family. For our big day, we dressed them up in tuxes and top hats. My two dresses were a favourite part of the day. We broke tradition—Steve had previously seen me in my Inbal Dror dress but didn’t see the final product, veil and all, until I walked down the aisle. The second dress was my updated rendition on a inspired by a Galia Lahav gown that wasn’t available at the time. The seamstress did a brilliant job with this custom gown request. Both gowns were demure with just a touch of sexiness. Standing underneath our chuppah was a dream. DT Floral and Decor was able to bring my minimalist halo-floral vision to life. I wish we could have camped out under it. During the ceremony I remembered to look up and around at our surroundings, and at the people we love who came out to celebrate and support us.
