Since my kids are older, I have taken on a few more jobs. The main one is working at the former “Immanuel Baptisten Gemeinde”, where I grew up in. Once 450 Germans, now it is a mix of all kinds of cultures. I work there as a secretary 20 hours a week. You can call me at 604 327-4010. They have a “Mama Fit Camp” on Fridays and Mondays for ladies and young children. Then, I work as a teacher at the Westside German School with children between 6 and 8. Plus, I help a couple of other classes prepare songs for the Lantern Festival and the Nikolaus Festival. As a volunteer, I prepare for the European Festival, held on the last weekend in May. Finally, I am promoting a band by helping them with blog writing, social media and picture editing. This is in addition to work with other smaller clients where I work on newsletters, press releases, ad sales, fundraising & more. It is my dream to start a German Playgroup, that will help even more young children learn German, before switching over to a German School.
