Ok­to­ber­fest in El Ca­jon is a fam­ily-friendly fes­ti­val pro­mot­ing tra­di­tional Ger­man cul­ture, in­clud­ing en­ter­tain­ment pro­vided by our pop­u­lar band Guggen­bachBuam, who join us from BadenWürt­tem­berg, Ger­many. En­joy folk dances, games, and con­tests, check out ven­dor and craft stands, let your young­sters go crazy in the Kids’ Fun Zone! On Satur­day nights, the club­house is also open for danc­ing (8 pm to mid­night), also with live Ger­man mu­sic. On Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 3, at 4:00, join us for our open­ing pa­rade and cer­e­mo­nial “Tap­ping the Wooden Keg.” On Sun­day, Oc­to­ber 4, we hold our wacky Chicken Hat Day, with a chicken hat con­test in the af­ter­noon, for laughs and prizes! Taste au­then­tic Ger­man food such as bratwurst, ox-on-the-spit, potato salad, potato pan­cakes, sauer­kraut and red cab­bage, plus a tasty va­ri­ety of Ger­man pas­tries and pret­zels. Soft drinks and adult bev­er­ages are sold, fea­tur­ing a fan­tas­tic se­lec­tion of Ger­man beers on draft, plus wines and a full bar. Take a chance on our raf­fle give­away, with fre­quent door prize draw­ings, plus a grand prize of a round-trip flight for two to Ger­many!
