What gift should you get the chef in your life?

Cook a chef din­ner! Ev­ery­one is so in­tim­i­dated by cook­ing for a chef, but we love to be on the other side, out of the kitchen and among friends.

What’s the se­cret to per­fect stuff­ing?

Fresh rose­mary, sage and thyme with lots of but­ter and a gen­er­ous quan­tity of one-to-two day- old bread. The key is that the bread has to be chewy.

What are you do­ing this year at Eat! Van­cou­ver?

This is my first year with Eat! Van­cou­ver. There are 37 star chefs who are all com­ing to­gether in Van­cou­ver to cel­e­brate the Cana­dian culi­nary scene and to sup­port this year’s char­i­ta­ble part­ner, Project Chef–it can’t get any bet­ter. I’m mak­ing a Thai prawn cake with gin­ger-scal­lion pis­tou and nuoc cham pa­paya salad.
