The inner-city Central Memorial Park is home to this intimate dining space. Taking inspiration from the surrounding gardens, Provision is a vegetable-focused, seasonally-inspired restaurant that serves up shareable plates of veggies for lunch and dinner. Forget lifeless, packaged salads and veggies with dip — Chef Daniel Pizarro has created delicious dishes such as fried Brussels sprouts with lemon butter and pecorino (pictured), and seasoned, smoked potatoes with a perfectly poached egg. If the idea of an allveggie meal sounds daunting, they also serve up sandwiches for lunch and plates of shareable meats for dinner. Be sure to save room for one of their unique desserts; their twist on milk-and-cookies with warm cookies and ganache swapped in for the usual dairy milk will always satisfy (page 46).
