Bike, run, or walk on The Great Trail this sum­mer and cel­e­brate Canada’s 150th birth­day by ex­plor­ing Canada’s mas­sive mul­ti­pur­pose path­way. The Trans Canada Trail cov­ers over 21,000 km across all prov­inces and ter­ri­to­ries. It is made up of both land trails and wa­ter­way routes. Calgary is the trail's en­try to the Rock­ies. So grab a bike or get your run­ners on and ex­plore the scenic trails that Calgary, the foothills, and the Rock­ies have to of­fer.

Rec­om­men­da­tion: Bike the 22 km stretch be­tween Can­more and Banff on the Rocky Moun­tain Legacy Trail. This trail takes ap­prox­i­mately 1.5 - 2 hours one way and is rated a “be­gin­ner” dif­fi­culty trail.
