For peo­ple who like… to stop and smell the tulips: e city is in full bloom dur­ing this cel­e­bra­tion of the his­toric ties forged be­tween Canada and the Nether­lands dur­ing the Sec­ond World War, in­clud­ing Ottawa pro­vid­ing refuge to Dutch Princess Ju­liana. She sent a Royal thank you gift of 100,000 bulbs in grat­i­tude, and a free fes­ti­val of mu­sic, dance and fam­ily fun has de­vel­oped around this an­nual flo­ral tra­di­tion.

We are cel­e­brat­ing the tulip legacy with in­ter­na­tional art, ar­ti­san dis­plays, fam­ily pro­grams, and live en­ter­tain­ment in a themed gar­den space that will be a feast for ev­ery­one’s eyes, and pro­vide a weath­er­proof so­lu­tion in case of rainy weather in May."
