Glide across the Sens Rink of Dreams in Marion De­war Plaza at the city’s pic­turesque City Hall. With a heated chang­ing fa­cil­ity, the 12,500 square-foot rink is open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week, weather per­mit­ting. Mean­while, Rideau Hall’s iconic rink (above) dates back to skat­ing par­ties or­ga­nized by the gov­er­nor gen­eral in 1872. Step back in time at this his­toric spot, open Jan. 4 to March 12, weather per­mit­ting. Public skat­ing without reser­va­tions is avail­able Satur­days and Sun­days, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Both rinks are BYOB (bring your own blades).
