Sept. 13 to 17 The Great Lawn at Lansdowne Park cityfolkfestival.com
This folk-ish festival turns the sprawling Great Lawn at Lansdowne into a hub of music and merriment. CityFolk, Bluesfest’s little brother, covers the park and spreads across multiple venues with a lineup that continues to impress, year after year. There’s folkrock troubadour Father John Misty (Sept. 16) and surfer-singer-songwriter Jack Johnson (Sept. 14), alongside pop rock royalty Amanda Marshall and indie rock supergroup Broken Social Scene (Sept. 15). The fabled Sugarman himself, Rodriguez (Sept. 17), will hit the Sunday stage alongside such acts as NEFE and Bahamas. Well over 30 artists, both established and emerging, make the music festival world-class.
