June 14-16 glow­fair­fes­ti­ Spread across eight blocks on Bank Street, Glow­fair Fes­ti­val is a lu­mi­nous party full of mu­sic, arts, and good vibes. Wan­der freely in the En­chanted Glow For­est with its glow­ing buskers and but­ter­flies, catch cir­cus-themed, sex-pos­i­tive bur­lesque per­for­mances by Cap­i­tal Tease, and roller-skate on the ’80s-in­spired Rain­bow Bright Rink. The Kids Zone will also fea­ture fam­ily fun with jug­glers, face painters, su­per he­roes, giant Jenga, and more! Each night has DJs and Cana­dian head­lin­ers in­clud­ing pop R&B singer and pro­ducer Karl Wolf, Hal­i­fax pop singer-song­writer Ria Mae, and Cree/Dene artist Iskwé, who evoca­tively mixes Indige­nous mu­sic, jazz, and trip-hop. The en­tire fes­ti­val is free and strives to pro­mote arts as the glue that strength­ens com­mu­nity.
