July 5-15 ot­taw­ablues­fest.ca Ot­tawa’s largest mu­sic fes­ti­val is eas­ily its favourite and it’s not hard to see why. Ev­ery scorch­ing July, the lawn out­side of the Cana­dian Mu­seum of War is home to a mas­sive mix of lo­cal tal­ent and global su­per­stars. The line­ups cater to all gen­res and tastes, from good old-fash­ioned blues to hip hop, coun­try, rock, pop, and elec­tronic dance mu­sic. High­lights of this year’s fes­ti­val in­clude Foo Fight­ers (July 10),

Bryan Adams (July 5), Beck (July 13), Ghost­face

Kil­lah (July 7), and Dave Matthews Band (July 11).

Ian An­der­son (July 6) will cel­e­brate his 50th an­niver­sary as the voice and cre­ative en­ergy of

Jethro Tull. Up-and-com­ing acts in­clude the Cal­i­for­nian hip hop boy band BROCKHAMPTON

(July 6), New Zealand’s pop R&B singer Kim­bra

(July 7), and Aus­tralian in­die rock trou­ba­dour and songstress Court­ney Bar­nett (July 11).
