Canada Sci­ence & Tech­nol­ogy Mu­seum

The Art of the Brick (un­til Sept. 3) fea­tures ev­ery­one’s favourite build­ing block, LEGO, as an artis­tic medium used to recre­ate fa­mous art­works like Girl with a Pearl Ear­ring by Jo­hannes Ver­meer and Michelan­gelo’s David. There are also sev­eral orig­i­nal pieces, in­clud­ing a 80,000-piece T-Rex and an in­ter­ac­tive area where bud­ding brick artists can build their own mas­ter­pieces.

Canada Avi­a­tion & Space Mu­seum

Be­yond Planet Earth (un­til Sept. 3) is both a his­tory les­son and an ex­plo­ration of the fu­ture of space travel. Along­side life-size satel­lites and rovers are im­mer­sive en­vi­ron­ments where one can visit the moon, as­ter­oids, even Mars.

Cana­dian Mu­seum of His­tory

Me­dieval Europe — Power and Splen­dour (un­til Jan. 20, 2019) ex­am­ines the as­pects of life in me­dieval times with a va­ri­ety of in­ter­ac­tive ex­hi­bi­tions. From June to Jan­uary, kids can live A Knight’s Life by learn­ing about and try­ing on ar­mour, and on Aug. 26, they can test their danc­ing, shield-build­ing, and bread­bak­ing skills at the Awe­some Me­dieval ac­tiv­ity day.
