CHEERS TO HER

Where Toronto - - EXPLORE -

Mrs. Robinson is not a tribute to the Simon and Garfunkel song, but rather to Sugar Hill Records founder Sylvia Robinson, who was dubbed “the mother of hiphop.” The throwback decor also pays homage to her illustrious career, with vintage speakers, tape cassettes, and stereos adorning part of the restaurant. There’s live music on select nights, whether it’s a band or a DJ spinning old school hits. A small menu of bar bites like garlic tofu tacos and jerk chicken pot pie is meant to compliment the real star, the cocktails, which boast cheeky names like Wet From the Waist Down, Naked and Famous, and Turn Me Like a Screw. 574 College St., mrsrobinsontoronto.com
