Library lessons for your new gadget or gizmo

Wiarton Echo - - NEWS -

ur holiday decorations have been away yet the Christmas lights are now winter lights while the days are relatively short and nights very dark. We have been enjoying the sunshine as it does create warmth through the windows. Even the solar powered yard lights have been turning on because there was enough sunlight to recharge those batteries. We have had some melting in the sunshine causing the roofs to clear yet not enough to do real damage to the ski trails. The steady freezing at night makes sure we have enough snow for our winter fun.

If you did get some new electronic communication gadgets for Christmas, one of our W.I. members discovered you can get help locally to learn how to use them. Contact your local library! Set up an appointment. Bring in your device and you will get a lesson on how to use it. The way it works, she will help anybody get started on almost any device – Apple, Android, Microsoft and all versions. The thing is, you bring your device, computer, tablet, phone and she sits next to you and shows you things at your own pace. It is a relaxed and perfect way to learn.

Have fun and start the New Year right!
