Drug charges af­ter search ex­e­cuted at NBP prop­erty

Two men face drug pos­ses­sion charges af­ter a search war­rant was ex­e­cuted in North­ern Bruce Penin­sula on Fri­day, May 4.

Mem­bers of the Bruce Penin­sula On­tario Pro­vin­cial Po­lice (OPP) and OPP Com­mu­nity Street Crime Units, with the as­sis­tance of the West Re­gion Emer­gency Re­sponse Team, searched a prop­erty on Myles Bay Shore Road, a news re­lease is­sued by Bruce Penin­sula OPP said.

As a re­sult, metham­phetamine and cannabis mar­i­juana with a com­bined es­ti­mated value of $5,660 were seized.

The ac­cused men, both 31 years old, and both of the Mu­nic­i­pal­ity of North­ern Bruce Penin­sula, were charged with pos­ses­sion of metham­phetamine.

One of the ac­cused also faces charges of pos­ses­sion of cannabis mar­i­juana and fail­ure to com­ply with re­cog­ni­zance.

Both men were re­leased and are sched­uled to at­tend court in Owen Sound on June 7.
