Driver loses licence and vehicle for seven days for excessive speed
A 48-year-old male from South Bruce Peninsula was charged for racing on Bruce Road 20 in the Municipality of Kincardine, South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said in a news release.
At approximately 5 a.m. on Oct. 23, police saw a vehicle travelling on Bruce Road 20 at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted 80 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 130 km/h, exceeding the posted speed limit by at least 50 km/h.
Michael Martina, of South Bruce Peninsula, was charged with Race a Motor Vehicle and his driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for seven days.
