Driver loses li­cence and ve­hi­cle for seven days for ex­ces­sive speed

A 48-year-old male from South Bruce Penin­sula was charged for rac­ing on Bruce Road 20 in the Mu­nic­i­pal­ity of Kin­car­dine, South Bruce On­tario Pro­vin­cial Po­lice (OPP) said in a news re­lease.

At ap­prox­i­mately 5 a.m. on Oct. 23, po­lice saw a ve­hi­cle trav­el­ling on Bruce Road 20 at a speed that ap­peared to be well above the posted 80 km/h speed limit. The ve­hi­cle was locked on radar in ex­cess of 130 km/h, ex­ceed­ing the posted speed limit by at least 50 km/h.

Michael Martina, of South Bruce Penin­sula, was charged with Race a Mo­tor Ve­hi­cle and his driver’s li­cence and ve­hi­cle were seized for seven days.
