How Is It Doing?

Pacific salmon are sensitive to changes, especially in their freshwater habitats where they are born. Because of this, past as well as overfishing in the and contact with non-native or hatchery-raised salmon, Pacific salmon populations have been going down for about 200 years. Some species and populations are considered at risk in British Columbia.
