Blen­heim men charged in rob­bery

Two Blen­heim men face mul­ti­ple charges af­ter a re­ported rob­bery at a Tal­bot Street West apart­ment. On Wed­nes­day at 3:10 a.m., two men wear­ing masks al­legedly forced their way into the vic­tim’s unit, Chatham-Kent po­lice said. The vic­tim con­fronted the men and a fight en­sued. When the vic­tim be­gan de­fend­ing him­self, the men fled the area. The vic­tim suf­fered un­spec­i­fied in­juries and was trans­ported to Chatham-Kent Health Al­liance for treat­ment, po­lice said. The two men were known to the vic­tim and were lo­cated within six hours. A 22-year-old man was charged with break and en­ter, wear­ing a dis­guise with in­tent, ag­gra­vated as­sault, rob­bery, and pos­ses­sion of a pro­hib­ited weapon. An 18-year-old man was charged with break and en­ter, wear­ing a dis­guise with in­tent, ag­gra­vated as­sault, and rob­bery.
