The public is invited to two public information forums set up by the Town of LaSalle to provide information and answer questions about the town’s new official plan document.

The official plan is a document that outlines LaSalle’s long-term “vision” and policies that will guide development for the next 20 years.

Council is considering how LaSalle should grow over the next two decades, how to encourage construction of a broader and more affordable range of housing, where new commercial businesses can build or expand, and what infrastructure and services will be needed to accommodate future growth.

Town staff, along with representatives from consultants Planning Partnership, will be available Tuesday and Wednesday from 1-3:30 p.m. and 7- 9 p.m. to speak with residents in council chambers at the LaSalle Civic Centre, 5950 Malden Rd. There is also a planning advisory committee meeting on Tuesday at 5 p.m. in council chambers. Comments about LaSalle’s official plan can be submitted via email at or in person.
