Flat Rock Good Kharma Chardonnay 2016 Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara Peninsula

★★★★ $16.95 (Vintages 356873)

Good Kharma was developed as a fundraising label to support the Ontario Association of Food Banks. An affordable and attractive Niagara Chardonnay, this offers nicely balance between fruit and oak flavours and bright acidity. It’s generous and mouth-filling style, which makes for a pleasing white wine to enjoy on its own or with a meal.

Stonestreet Estate Vineyards Chardonnay 2015 Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, Calif. ★★★★1/2

$49.95 (Vintages 991380)

This is a rich and rewarding style of Chardonnay made with grapes grown from high-elevation vineyards (400 to 1,800 feet, or 122 to 549 metres) in Alexander Valley, a premium region in Sonoma County. There’s freshness to temper the ripe core of fruit that’s accented by spice and sweetish notes. This splurge-worthy Chardonnay is expressive and enjoyable.
