Three charged in drug seizure

Three Es­sex County res­i­dents face drug-re­lated charges af­ter the Leam­ing­ton OPP ex­e­cuted a search war­rant last week. On July 30, the OPP’S street crime unit, emer­gency re­sponse team, and ca­nine unit searched a res­i­dence in the 100 block of Erie Street South, po­lice said in a news re­lease Tues­day. Of­fi­cers seized un­spec­i­fied quan­ti­ties of sus­pected fen­tanyl, co­caine and metham­phetamine, as well as dig­i­tal scales, drug para­pher­na­lia and cash. Michael Cacil­has, 32, of Kingsville, and Karysa Mont­gomery, 25, of Leam­ing­ton, are charged with pos­ses­sion of a Sched­ule 1 sub­stance. Both are sched­uled to ap­pear in court in Leam­ing­ton this Oc­to­ber. Don­ald For­rest, 57, of Leam­ing­ton, re­mains in cus­tody pend­ing a bail hear­ing and is to be charged with three counts of pos­ses­sion for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing.
