WE spotted stylish duo Josephine Agoudou and Tania Tshoya, both originally from South Africa, out shoe shopping at The Bay downtown, decked out in accessories and colourful pieces. Agoudou says, “Growing up, you just know you won’t wear too many dark colours because they’re for when you’re grieving. I wear colour every day, even in the wintertime, and it brightens up the day.”

What she wore…

SHIRt — Urban Behavior JEGGINGS — “The Bay downtown. I love The Bay because I always find good sales and, to me, it’s quality clothing.” SHOES — Ardene PURSE — Winners EARRINGS AND BRACELETS — Aldo

Fashion essential

“I like wearing a nice pair of jeggings because I feel like they fit me well. They bring out your shape and your curves. I collect them and have different colours. With my skin colour I don’t feel like putting dark colours on me, because it doesn’t do anything for me.

Style inspiration

“Magazines, sometimes. I just like to wear what I think looks good; sometimes I have to change a couple of times to figure out what I’m wearing. Shopping definitely helps me with the styles but sometimes I just like to read People (magazine) — it’s not a very wide section on fashion but the little ‘not to wears or the what to wears, or this looks great’ type of things helps me.”

Fashion tip

“Wear something you’re comfortable in and that brings out your curves — I feel like that’s important for a woman to do.”
