Rachel Enns

This first-year music student at Canadian Mennonite University was spotted picking up some books as she left school on Tuesday afternoon, sporting her new back-to-school fall essentials, including trendy green pants and a cream lace top that she calls her fashion essential. Enns’ sophisticated, classic style corresponds to the soft violin music she plays; she’s excited about going to school and studying something she enjoys.

What she wore…

Blouse and jeans — “Both are from Winners Polo Park. I just wanted a colourful pair of pants.” Sandals — Payless Earrings — “They are little owls and they’re from Claire’s.” Purse — Icing “I like different tops —they’re what I gravitate towards when I go shopping. It’s better to have more tops than pants for me because you start off with a base colour on the bottom then add texture with your top.”

Style inspiration

“My favourite top two stores are probably Winners and Forever 21. My friend and I have a similar style, so whenever we go shopping we play off each other — I ask her questions because I trust her opinion. She’s a huge fan of Winners as well. You can get everything there for a good prices and get really nice stuff.”

Fashion tip

“Dress in whatever makes you feel your best. I’m not really into the bright neon colours; I play violin, so I’d say I’m more classic and into pastels then bright colours. I usually try and pick something with a pattern on it or something that has interest instead of just colour blocking.”
