The CityTV com­edy se­ries Sun­ny­side is rolling into town to shoot seven more episodes star­ing May 14.

Buf­falo Gal Pic­tures pro­ducer Rhonda Baker con­firms seven new episodes are be­ing pre­pared. Tech­ni­cally, it’s not the sec­ond sea­son but a con­tin­u­a­tion of show’s first sea­son, Baker says. The first six episodes of the se­ries al­ready aired on CityTV in Jan­uary and Fe­bru­ary and are avail­able for view­ing at

Cre­ated by TV vets Dan Red­i­can and Gary Pear­son, the show is pro- duced by Buf­falo Gal and Toronto’s Coun­ter­feit Pic­tures.

The Toronto-culled core cast of Kath­leen Phillips, Lau­ren Ash, Pat Thorn­ton, Pa­trice Good­man, Alice Mo­ran, Kevin Vi­dal and Rob Nor­man will all be re­turn­ing to film episodes in Wolse­ley and West Broad­way un­til the end of June, Baker says.


CityTV’s sketch com­edy show Sun­ny­side, which was shot in the Wolse­ley area last sum­mer, is com­ing back for more.
