Long­time rock­ers Fred & Toody at West End

GARAGE punk main­stays Fred & Toody will get a chance to prove they haven’t mel­lowed with age when they play the West End Cul­tural Cen­tre on June 9.

Tick­ets are $17 in ad­vance and are avail­able at the WECC, Tick­et­fly.com, the Win­nipeg Folk Fes­ti­val Mu­sic Store and Mu­sic Trader. Tick­ets at the door are $22.

Fred and Toody Cole, the Port­land, Ore.-based hus­band-and-wife rock­ers, have toured with var­i­ous bands go­ing back to the late 1960s, but made their mark af­ter found­ing Dead Moon in 1987.

Af­ter that group dis­banded in 2006, Fred & Toody helped found Pierced Ar­rows and since then have ei­ther toured with that group or on their own.
