Last two days for Home Expressions Show
Today and Sunday are the final two days of the 2010 Home Expressions Show, presented by Rona. More than 20,000 people annually visit this mustsee event and this year’s crowds have been tracking the same way.
All three floors of the Winnipeg Convention Centre are filled with the latest innovations for home and garden. There are more than 600 booths of exciting products and information to help you upgrade your current home or give you ideas for the design and finish of a new home.
The show is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. It’s a tremendous way to spend a weekend as there’s no shortage of things to see. The fabulous early-spring weather we’ve been enjoying has led us to start thinking about repairs, renovations and outdoor work earlier than usual.
In addition to the various exhibitor booths, there are informative stage presentations on the hour. There are also an assortment of prize draws, culminating in a set of prizes of a Master Spa from Krevco, a patio dining set from Wicker World and a pool table from LCL Spas and Billiards, totalling $20,000 in value. The best part is that tickets are only $5 for two, with all revenues going to Variety - The Children’s Charity.
There are a number of attractions that make this year’s show special. St. Mary’s Nursery and Barkman Concrete are creating a Tuscan-ruin Garden Court that is absolutely breathtaking. Samantha Pynn, star of HGTV’s Pure Design, will be featured on the Free Press Lifestyle Stage today at 2 and 7 p.m. and on Sunday at 1 and 3 p.m. Samantha is renowned for her homedecoration magic, bringing practical sustainability to reality.
The Canadian Decorator’s Association is presenting the “Dare to Dream Home”, five interactive rooms of unique décor that have to be seen to be fully appreciated.
At no other time and no other place can you do this much comparison shopping. All of the best suppliers and manufacturers in Manitoba are under one roof, presenting a variety of options for your home needs.
Others may say they’re presenting ‘show class specials’, but there’s only one true place where the real show specials exist: the Winnipeg Convention Centre this weekend.
