Guardian angels save the day for young woman

MY husband and I had driven to 7-Eleven to mail a parcel.

As I got out of the car I stepped on a plastic bag, lost my balance and fell backwards, hitting my head on the car parked next to us.

Before I could blink an eye, two young men came running to my assistance. After assuring them I was OK, they helped me up.

They noticed that my head was bleeding, so Ryan (one of my angels) called 911. He explained that an old lady had fallen and was bleeding from a cut on her head. And I was thinking, “I’m not an old lady — I’m only 81.”

Ryan applied pressure to the wound using paper towels that his friend got from 7-Eleven, until the paramedics arrived. When the paramedics arrived, they stopped the bleeding and bandaged my head, while asking me dozens of questions.

Since the ambulance was stuck behind a train and I was obviously OK the paramedics suggested that my husband drive me to an emergency ward or a walk-in clinic for the stitches I required. Ryan stayed with us until we left for the clinic.

Thank you again Ryan and friend. You were truly my guardian angels.
