Three cheers for Manfred

Winnipeg Free Press - Section G - - THE SOCIAL PAGE -

I stopped to help an elderly lady who had fallen near the corner of Logan Avenue and McPhillips Street a couple of weeks ago. In the commotion of cleaning up the gash on her forehead, repacking her bags and getting her back on her feet, I ended up leaving my iPhone in the grass.

After speaking with an extremely helpful MTS person, I elected to rely on the milk of human kindness and texted the phone with our land line number and my husband’s cell number.

Within minutes a young man named Manfred called us. He had found the phone and was waiting for us to call.

Manfred even delivered it to our downtown apartment block the next day and refused any offer of a reward.

Three cheers for Manfred!
