In 1978, Who drummer Keith Moon died at 31 of an overdose of a sedative that had been prescribed for his alcoholism. Moon died in the same London apartment in which Cass Elliot of the Mamas and Papas had died four years earlier. Moon’s replacement with the Who was Kenny Jones, formerly of the Small Faces.
