In 1928, the Vic­tor Com­pany or­ga­nized the first com­mer­cial record­ing ses­sion in Nashville. The Binkley Brothers’ Dixie Clod­hop­pers were the artists, record­ing such ti­tles as Hun­gry Hash House and I’ll Rise When the Rooster Crows.
