Fought off mosquitoes to do kind act

I WAS at a gas station on Taylor Avenue and didn’t notice a man parked next to me who was trying to get my attention.

Only when I was getting into my car to drive off did the man stop me and tell me that my tire was com- pletely flat. Upon seeing my panic, he suggested I pump up the tire, since I was at the gas station, so I could drive it home.

Being a new young driver, I did not know the first thing about how to go about pumping my tire to the right pressure.

This kind man then offered to do it for me. He not only proceeded to fill the one flat tire but checked all the other tires for me, all the while being eaten alive by mosquitoes.

I do not know this gentleman’s name, but his time, effort and kindness is something I still appreciate to this day.

I wish I could have another opportunity to truly thank him.
