MOON ALERT We have the all clear to do business (whether $10 or $10 million) and make important decisions until 4 p.m. The moon is in Taurus. ARIES (March 21-April 19) This is a good day for business and commerce, especially in the afternoon. Tap into your money-making ideas. You might find a deal at a garage sale. In discussion with someone, you might also hear about a new job or a way to make some money on the side. LEO (July 23-Aug. 22) Difficulties with authority figures might exist this morning. It’s minor stuff. Later in the day, you will easily gather others around or convince people to do your bidding. You might have a great idea you want to promote. If so, you’ll be successful.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22) Although you might have concerns this morning, by afternoon you feel confident about getting your fair share of something. Good news from others might enrich you financially. Later in the day is a good time to discuss how to share something or ask for something that is owed to you. TAURUS (April 20-May 20) Today the moon is in your sign and you’ll be at odds with someone in the morning, but as the day wears on you feel happier, richer and optimistic about your future. You might make travel plans or see ways to expand your world. GEMINI (May 21-June 20) A mild dispute with someone this morning will soon be forgotten because this afternoon feels good. Something might happen that gives you a warm feeling in your tummy about your life. By extension, you will feel concerned about the welfare of others. CANCER (June 21-July 22) Although you might have a minor set-to with someone earlier in the day, by the afternoon all is well. You’ll enjoy being congenial company with others. In particular, you’ll like to be with old friends who know you well, but not too well.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) Ignore some minor disputes this morning because they will quickly disappear. This afternoon, fun travel opportunities might open up. Or perhaps you will explore avenues in publishing, the media, the law and medicine. Or schooling or training?

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21) Because the moon is opposite your sign, you’ll have to go more than halfway when dealing with others. You will feel this in the morning. By the afternoon, everyone is happy and co-operative. Don’t hesitate to offer your help to others or, in turn, ask for help. SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21) If you have your to do list handy, you might feel frustrated this morning, but this afternoon you’ll enjoy accomplishing whatever tasks you set up for yourself. In fact, others will help you. Invite people over to do a job and at the same time have a party. CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19) If you have social plans, there could be dissension in the ranks in the morning. (“I don’t want to do that.”) Fear not because by the afternoon everyone is on board. It’s a great day for sports events, parties, get-togethers, the arts and playful times with children. AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18) Family discussions might be difficult in the morning but by afternoon all kinds of group activities at home will be successful. This is a good day for everyone to pitch in together. People are co-operative in the afternoon, plus they’re in a good mood. PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20) After a few minor misunderstandings this morning, this afternoon is a wonderful time for short trips, conversations with siblings and relatives as well as writing, talking, acting or promoting any ideas. You feel upbeat and enthusiastic. (Enthusiasm is always contagious.) TODAY’S BIRTHDAY Baseball icon Mickey Mantle (1931-1995) shared your birthday. You are in touch with society and social trends. In fact, some of you define them. You work hard to fulfil your ambitions, but often your private life is more important. You’re interested in style and your personal appearance. People love to see you enter a room. This year something you’ve been involved with for nine years will end or diminish to make room for something new.
