Romano... so kind, honest to return my phone

Winnipeg Free Press - Section G - - LIFE -

I HAD an awesome thing happen to me while shopping downtown with my daughter. I parked in The Bay parkade about 3:30 p.m. and while crossing the street, I guess I dropped my iPhone 4S in the snow. I didn’t even notice. We went into one of the bridal stores, as we were shopping for a grad dress. About two hours later, my son called my daughter’s phone and told us that some guy answered my phone when he had called. His name was Romano, and he lived at Siloam Mission. He told my son he had found my iPhone in a snowbank across from The Bay and that I could pick it up any time before 8 p.m. at 300 Princess St. My daughter and I proceeded to drive to Siloam Mission, and he was waiting outside for us. He gave us the phone, I thanked him very much and he didn’t even ask for a reward. He just wanted to get the phone back to its owner. I was so very impressed with this man. I want to give a big shout-out to Romano and his friends at Siloam Mission for being so honest and kind and returning my phone to me. I wish them all good health and tons of happiness. Thank you. PS: I wish Tim Hortons would take free coffee and doughnuts to the residents of Siloam Mission this holiday season.
