Friday the 13th not so bad after all

I HAD a doctor’s appointment Friday, Dec. 13, so I should have expected trouble. I parked on the lot beside the clinic. Two hours — and some unfavourable news from my doctor — later, I made my way back to my car and noticed the flashers were on, very dimly. The car would not start. Checking for my wallet, I realized I had left it at home. All the while, it was getting increasingly colder outside. Friday the 13th, right? I phoned Crane Towing and pleaded my case to Jennifer. I offered to go there and pay for a boost ASAP. To my surprise she said I’d caught her on a “good day,” and she was sending someone out immediately. Her only request was that I pay it forward. Within 10 minutes I was on my way. At home I was able to digest my doctor’s news and Jennifer’s kindness and was so overcome with sadness and happiness that I started to cry. A huge thank you to Jennifer and all the staff at Crane Towing.
