Folk fest favourites re­turn to town for solo con­certs

THE Win­nipeg Folk Fes­ti­val is bring­ing three Birds Hill Park favourites back to Win­nipeg this spring. Americana trou­ba­dour Mary Gauthier will be team­ing up once again with lo­cals Scott Nolan and Joanna Miller for a show at the Park Theatre on Feb. 20. Tick­ets are $20. On March 25, Ir­ish folkie James Vin­cent McMor­row will be stop­ping in at the WECC on his way to Coachella, sup­port­ing his just-re­leased record, Post Trop­i­cal. Tick­ets are $22. Aussie folkie Kim Churchill, who wowed Folk Fest crowds in 2012, re­turns to the city April 6, per­form­ing at the WECC. Tick­ets are $20. Tick­ets for all three shows go on sale to­day at Tick­et­mas­ter and at the Win­nipeg Folk Fes­ti­val Mu­sic Store.
