Bullock’s wax likeness looks eerily like the real thing

EVERYONE knows a Madame Tussauds wax figure can look remarkably like the real thing but they seem to have really hit the nail with their new Sandra Bullock figure at the Hollywood outlet of the famed wax museum. Or at least that’s what it seems like from the pictures Tussauds sent around today. Tussauds says she’s “red carpet ready,” dressed in a flattering red dress, clutch in hand, black spike heels on her feet, hair long, straight and combed to one side. The figure is so lifelike that it’s unnerving. It’s Bullock’s first appearance as a Tussauds wax figure, making its debut just two weeks before the Academy Awards. The Oscar winner is up for another this year for her starring role in Gravity. The Bullock figure joins the likes of Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Aniston, Johnny Depp and Will Smith, among more than 100 figures. Tussauds Hollywood, for the first time, plans to launch 12 new figures in 12 months in 2014.
