In 1979, Chicago disc jockey Steve Dahl held a “disco demolition” between games of a baseball doubleheader at Comiskey Park. Dahl burned disco records brought by fans, who received a discount admission. Some fans decided to start their own fires and a mini-riot ensued, forcing the Chicago White Sox to forfeit the second game of the doubleheader.
