In 1969, John Len­non, Yoko Ono and the Plas­tic Ono Band played their first gig at the Toronto Rock ’n’ Roll Re­vival. It was Len­non’s first con­cert per­for­mance in three years, and the ap­pear­ance was doc­u­mented in the al­bum Live Peace in Toronto, 1969. The Plas­tic Ono band con­sisted of Len­non and Eric Clap­ton on guitars, Klaus Voor­man on bass and Alan White of Yes on drums.

The Mari­achi Ghost cel­e­brates Mex­i­can In­de­pen­dence Day at the West End Cul­tural Cen­tre tonight.
