An act of honesty

I left my purse hanging in the washroom of Chapters at St. Vital Centre. My hands were full of purchases, and I didn’t realize my purse was missing until arriving at my apartment clear across the city. In a panic, my daughter turned the car around and headed straight back to the shopping centre. It seemed to take forever, as we caught every red light. Upon arrival, we went directly to the washroom in Chapters. Of course, my purse was no longer there. With sinking hearts, we headed for the lost and found and reported the missing purse. Sure enough, a purse had been turned in, and after we provided a description it was handed to us. To our amazement, nothing was missing. A hundred dollars in cash, keys, credit cards, driver’s licence — everything was intact. I was so relieved and thankful. I want to take this opportunity to thank the person who turned in my purse for their honesty and kindness.
