Beethoven bi­og­ra­pher to dis­cuss com­poser’s life

PHYSI­CIAN, psy­chi­a­trist and au­thor Dr. Fran­cois Mai will dis­cuss Beethoven’s life, with as­sis­tance from pi­anist Richard Kon­rad, on Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. at the Cen­tre cul­turel franco-man­i­to­bain. Mai, who wrote Di­ag­nos­ing Ge­nius, The Life and Death of Beethoven, will talk about the clas­si­cal mu­sic master, who was born in Bonn, Ger­many, in 1770 and died in Vi­enna in 1827. The event is be­ing or­ga­nized by Man­i­toba Opera, which will be per­form­ing Beethoven’s Fide­lio on Nov. 22, 25 and 28 at the Cen­ten­nial Con­cert Hall.
