Affordable townhomes in Sage Creek
MANY new-home buyers assume $350,000 — or more — is needed to acquire a new home in a cutting-edge community. That’s not the case in Sage Creek, said Streetside Developments’ Jessica Willis. “We’re very excited about Bluestem Townhomes, which are located at 301-1555 Des Hivernants Blvd.,” she said. “They’re a collection of three-storey townhomes that start at just $278,000, including GST. Several of the townhomes are in special locations facing on to native grasslands, and a number of the units are move-in ready.” Bluestem Condominiums — three buildings are complete, with another six to come — offers six different floor plans (Cedar 1, Cedar 2, Elmvale, Raintree, Tamarack and Willow) that will range in size from 1,046 square feet (Cedar 1) to 1,552 sq. ft. (Tamarack). Floor plans will feature either two bedrooms, or two bedrooms plus den in larger models. Interiors are characterized by an open-concept floor plan that’s at once navigable and beautiful, said Willis. “Take the Tamarack, for example,” she said. “The second level, which I refer to as the ‘living level’, is absolutely stunning with a 12-foot island, all kinds of room to move and gorgeous finishes surrounding you.” Those finishes, which include options such as plank flooring and quartz countertops (in white, grey or dark finishes), combine with the ergonomically sound floor plans to create suites that will meet a wide variety of needs. “From our Cedar plan at 1,046 sq. ft. to our Tamarack plan at 1,552 sq. ft., we’ve made sure to build floor plans that are suited to a variety of buyers,” she said. “We have young, first-time buyers who love the space and value they get in the Cedar, which comes with a single attached garage.” Likewise, folks from other walks of life are also gravitating to the thoughtfully designed townhomes. “Professionals, families and downsizers appreciate the extra features of the Tamarack, like the 12-foot kitchen island and double-attached garage. In between, we have other sizes and layouts that offer the same great living experience, but allow buyers to choose a floor plan that feels right for them.” Regardless of which townhome buyers choose, one feature is universal, added Willis. “Each townhome comes with a generous front (wood) porch and a spacious sun balcony, so residents will be able to entertain outdoors without the work or hassle that comes with maintaining a yard,” she said. “The garages are also perfect for the winter months, and all landscaping and shovelling will also be taken care of.” She added that with several move-in-ready units available for viewing, prospective buyers can get a real-life glimpse of what the townhomes look like. ‘I think it’s a real advantage that people can see exactly what they would be purchasing. You can buy a move-in-ready unit that best meets your needs and tastes, or you can opt to work with our design consultant on the finishes that you want in a new unit. Right now, there are 29 completed unit, and there will be 75 units in total spread out over nine buildings. There’s going to be something for everyone.” That universal appeal is reflected by the popularity of previous projects in Bridgwater Forest, said Willis. “Our buyers just love the townhome lifestyle. Within the last year, we’ve sold out two projects in Bridgwater Forest, and the units in Sage Creek have been tweaked to make them even better,” she said. “Streetside is excited to bring such affordable, livable — and beautiful — homes to a great community that offers an abundance of conveniences and a wonderful location.” For more information on Bluestem townhomes, visit www.bluestemcondos.ca or contact Glen McAngus or George Matwichuk of Royal LePage Top Producers at (204) 955-3922.
