Cabin Lake Trail
LENGTH: 4.6 kilometres to the lake and back, plus whatever you happen to walk on the lake. WHAT YOU GET: A walk in the woods, followed by the chance to explore Cabin Lake. When there’s lots of snow on the ground, the slope at the south end of the lake makes for a wild toboggan ride; exercise extreme caution if you tow along some form of sliding implement. ACCESS: The road to the Cabin Lake trailhead runs off Provincial Road 307, about 17.5 kilometres north of Highway 44. The road is signed “Red Rock Lake”; drive west about one kilometre to the trailhead.
