McGillivray Falls Trail
LENGTH: 4.6-kilometres in the loop trail, plus 300 metres to snowshoe to the trailhead and back over the unplowed entrance road. WHAT YOU GET: Lots of up and down along ridges as well as great views from cliffs overlooking McGillivray Lake. Some of the short ascents and descents are steep enough to make it advisable to use modern snowshoes, with crampons. The stream at the start of the loop is frozen over below falls, but stick to the trail above them. Trail signage is particularly good along this route.
