Of­fi­cials had to sep­a­rate Bombers cen­tre Do­minic Pi­card and Eskimo D-line­man Al­mondo Sewell be­fore the na­tional an­them. The two were hel­met to hel­met jaw­ing at each other in what is be­com­ing a re­cur­ring theme of amped-up play­ers try­ing to do the silly turf-war thing... Bombers LB Tony Bur­nett, mak­ing his CFL de­but, was in­jured on a kick­off-cover in the first quar­ter, but re­turned in the sec­ond... A half­time show fea­tur­ing Ukrainian dancers was can­celled, ap­par­ently due to rain. There was some spec­u­la­tion, how­ever, that the first half was so dull the dancers nod­ded off in their dress­ing room and missed their cue.
